Burnaby, BC – February 17, 2012 – Vancouver Career College will host an Open House at its Burnaby campus on Saturday, February 25, 2012 for prospective students interested in the Registered Massage Therapy program.
Attendees will have the chance to learn more about the program and the field of massage therapy. They’ll also be able to watch demonstrations, ask instructors and staff questions, tour the campus and learn about job opportunities. With seats still available for the March 26th start date, the Open House is an excellent chance for prospective students to get all the information they need to enroll.
Students in the Registered Massage Therapy program will learn the various techniques, theories and methods of massage. They’ll also master assessment protocol, principles of treatment and therapeutic exercises. They’ll have several practical learning experiences in the supervised Student Clinic and work closely with Clinic Supervisors to meet the needs of their clients, as well.
As graduates, they’ll have acquired the competencies outlined in the College of Massage Therapists of BC (CMTBC) Occupational Competency Profile and be prepared to write the CMTBC registration exams.
Massage therapists have taken on increasingly important roles in BC’s healthcare system. As more and more people use massage to help with medical conditions, injuries and overall wellness, the demand for well-trained professionals continues to rise. The Open House will run from 10:00am to 4:00pm on February 25, 2012, at the Burnaby campus of Vancouver Career College. Check in at 9:45am sharp!
