Take on Today’s Job Market with Vancouver Career College Open House

Tuesday, March 20, 2012

All six campus locations open to the public on March 31, 2012

Vancouver, BC
- March 20, 2012 – Vancouver Career College invites the community to explore their career options at a province-wide open house on March 31, 2012 from 11am to 2pm. At all six campuses, attendees will learn how the Vancouver Career College experience can help them further their education or embark on a new career.

A guest speaker at each campus will share an overview of the college’s career programs, including business, healthcare, education, art and design, legal and trades. Attendees will learn how collaboration with industry professionals creates adaptable curriculum that keeps pace with job market changes. The result is a market-driven approach to learning that prepares students to meet current industry demands and gives them the qualifications to pursue emerging careers.

In the next five years, BC is expected to see a flood of job openings as the current labour force begins to retire and the population grows. Opportunities in the fields of healthcare, business and education are predicted to be extensive across the province.

At Vancouver Career College, programs are taught by industry-experienced professionals whose real-world expertise enriches the subject matter. Instructors will be on-hand to discuss how their insight translates coursework into the practical knowledge and skills employers are looking for in today’s workforce.

With small classes at Vancouver Career College, usually between 10 and 25 students, the level of interaction between students and instructors is high. For students, this means individualized attention and a better understanding of the tools and techniques used on the job – helping them to seamlessly enter the workforce after graduation.

Vancouver Career College’s commitment to its students extends beyond the classroom with on-the-job training. Attendees will have an opportunity to tour the facilities and learn how hands-on experience in a real-world job setting gives them a head-start in their job search and often leads to permanent employment.
