December 2018 Kelowna Newsletter

It is December already. I'm not sure how, but it seems that every year I am surprised by the holiday season. It seems so far away in September and then suddenly I have only four weeks to bake cookies, buy gifts, decorate the house, and attend the many events and parties that are scheduled. This is a busy time, but I encourage everyone to take a moment to slow down and enjoy the holiday season. I suggest a warm fire, gentle music, a hot drink, and a great book. Happy Holidays!

Taylor Brown

Taylor Brown is an RMT student who has a wonderful eagerness to learn. She exhibits an openness to instruction and quickly grasps concepts. She works hard to achieve success both practically and academically. Congratulations Taylor!

Student Appreciation

We are excited to announce our holiday staff/student celebration. Please join us for a special lunch on December 14 and wear your ugly holiday sweater. We look forward to celebrating the hard work of both our students and staff. 

Halloween Contest Winners

Our Kelowna campus was so excited when two of our students won the Vancouver Career College Halloween Costume contest. Amanda and James dressed as Jesse and James from Team Rocket in Pokémon. They looked fabulous and won both our local and provincial contest. We love having students who show school spirit by participating in the community building events that we plan.

Student Appreciation Day-November

Kelowna students love "Appreciation" days at our campus and we love treating them once a month and letting them know that we are happy that they are part of our school. Our students are the reason that we come to work every day and we appreciate their smiling faces and great attitudes. They work hard and are often going to school while raising families and working part-time jobs. They deserve a treat and recognition for these things on a regular basis.
