Practical Nursing

Practical nursing is the second largest nursing group in Canada. Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) are primarily responsible for front line health care delivery in hospitals, clinics, and nursing homes. Under the supervision of physicians and registered nurses, LPNs are able to provide patient assessment and care, including the administration of medications, preparation and assistance for surgeries, education on nutrition and self-care, and health promotion.

LPNs are one of the highest in-demand careers in Canada. With Vancouver Career College's Practical Nursing diploma program, you will learn skills in pharmacology, health promotion, home health care, rehabilitation, and more in just over a year.
