Strong results will help grads as they enter their new careers

December 19, 2017 – Kelowna, BC - Registered Massage Therapy (RMT) students did Vancouver Career College proud achieving exceptional pass rates across the board in the College Of Massage Therapists of British Columbia September 2017 examinations.

RMT students achieved 100% success rate in Clinical Science, LEP (Law, Ethics and Professionalism) and PBA (Performance Based Assessment), and outperformed the provincial aggregate rate in every exam. Our students’ impressive pass rates are testament to the training received at the Kelowna campus, and the ongoing commitment from its instructors.

“We are a true team,” said Catherine Langedyk, RMT Program Coordinator at the Kelowna campus. “Our instructors and supervisors are very dedicated and passionate about massage therapy. They love what they do and it shows when they are working with students. They put in extra time to make sure the students get the attention they need, and are always open to questions and discussion.”

Registered Massage Therapists play a vital role in relieving pain and discomfort, whether it's sports injury-related, due to a medical condition, or stress relief. In the RMT program at Vancouver Career College, students participate in an intensive training program combining techniques, massage theories and treatment exercises alongside assessment protocol, principles of treatment and therapeutic exercises.

While manual dexterity is a fundamental part of the role, communication and building up a rapport with clients is also key. The course is designed to fully prepare students for working in what’s a rewarding, but also demanding environment.

“Professionalism and accountability are constantly stressed throughout our program, so the students are ready to work in their field and handle the demands of a position as a massage therapist once they pass their exams,” said Langedyk.

Vancouver Career College is now accepting applications for our Registered Massage Therapy program. Find out how we can help you get started by calling 1.800.651.1067 or apply online!
