More Than $700 Raised for Heart and Stroke by Vancouver Career College
For 20 minutes, Vancouver Career College riders powered one Big Bike, pedaling through Surrey and stopping traffic in support of critical heart disease and stroke research.
“Vancouver Career College is proud to support Heart and Stroke through the Big Bike fundraiser,” said Kim Simmons, Campus Director at the Surrey campus. “I am so proud of the generosity of our staff and students. It was a great feeling for all of us to come together for such an important cause.”
For more than 60 years, Heart & Stroke has been dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke in Canada. An estimated 1.6 million more are living with the devastating effects of these diseases. Heart & Stroke is a leading funder of life-saving research, which has led to breakthroughs such as heart transplant surgery and a revolutionary stroke treatment that cuts the death rate by 50%.
