It is about celebrating resilience, innovation, and determination to work towards a more inclusive and diverse Canada—a Canada in which everyone has every opportunity to flourish

Umbrella Day

Did you know? Umbrellas have been around for over 4,000 years. However, the waterproof umbrellas we know today weren’t popularly used until the 11th century BC in China, where they covered their thin paper umbrellas with wax and lacquer.

National Random Acts of Kindness
February 17, 2021

Did you know? Random Acts of Kindness Day was established in 2004 in New Zealand. It was first observed in 2008 by the Victoria Foundation and is now observed annually on February 17th.

Family Day with Museum of Surrey (MOS)
February 15, 2021

A day of free family fun awaits at your museum. Complete outdoor riddles and then partake in a scavenger hunt of the campus and galleries. Don't forget to strike a pose at our socially distanced selfie station and tag us on Social Media!

Campus will be closed! The B.C. government is funding free virtual and in-person Family Day activities throughout the province over the Family Day weekend. This makes sure celebrations are accessible for everyone
